Good food and a great crowd

From their carvery to their selection of beers and whiskies, you can't go wrong at the 51. Pre and post game crowds from the Aviva nearby are always lively and fun.

One of the few good remaining carveries in Dublin

We've been on the hunt for a good Sunday carvery in Dublin for quite a while now but sadly they seem to be a dying breed. Howver, we've finally found it at The 51. Reasonably priced, massive portions if you want, high quality meat and all the trimmings - what more could you need? Staff are very friendly and on the couple of occasions we've visited (with many more to come) the place has been quite quiet so never a problem finding a comfy seat. Long may it continue!

Great Pub

Great pub with great food. Award winning carvery, friendly staff and s great mix of craft and regular beers. Well worth a visit for a pint or some food. Not sure what time they finish serving food, so best to check if you are heading there to eat.

Fantastic!

ow I wish our local pubs had such character and energy. We were staying near Haddington Road, where this pub is situated. It advertises meals at silly prices, but we thought "where is the catch"? There isn't one! This pub is full of life, characters and delicious food. It buzzes... straight after work, as people go home; but especially when the rugby is on. It is a fabulous sports bar. Food is very well cooked, and served very promptly. I have never seen more organised bar staff anywhere in the world. Food great, staff fabulous, prices low. It is a no brainier.

Great Pub

I have been here a few times now and really like this pub. Almost all the pints are only €4, which is great value. There is always a good atmosphere and it's quite a big place too.

A Gem of a find

Phoned ahead to check they were showing a game that I wanted to see. Very helpful from the start, nothing was to much trouble. The guy behind the bar was welcoming and great conversation. The Guinness was good, as was the food which for Dublin prices was unbelievable value, main meal and a pint for 12 euro. If you are around this area, call in, well worth a visit.

Real Bar Staff

Went in here after the Ireland match in the nearby aviva stadium. The small number of barmen kept the packed pub going all night while being very friendly and courteous. I've been in "trendy" pubs with double the staff that couldn't provide half the service.

Lunch and beer with friends whilst watching footy

A group of 7 of us all had the 12 euro and a pint lunch option. I had the chicken fajitas, 2 had salmon, 2 had lamb burgers and 2 had curry. All excellent meals with great service and the beers went down well

We stumbled across this place on Friday evening after landing in Dublin. Found the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The food quality was amazing and service was very quick and efficient. Crowd was entertaining as we found in all of Dublin
